Panel: Religious Perspectives on Violence against Women

Panel discussion on the topic of Religious Perspectives on Violence against Women was held on the 9th of December 2021, organized by Suomen Kulttuurienvälinen Yhteisö – SKY in cooperation with the Neighbourhood Mothers project. Six panelists discussed the topic from the perspective of Judaism, Buddhism, Bahai, Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity.  With this panel, we emphasized the cultural and religious sensitivity in the work with women who might experience violence. The panel echoed  the campaign organized for the International Day on Violence Against Women & International Human Rights Day, to end violence against women. The campaign is being called “16 days of activism” and the main responsible body is the United Nations Women. Watch the panel from the location of your conform via YouTube.
