Sports no doubt beneficial for Human wellbeing. But it can also facilitate socializing and Integration. In SKY, we wish to bring all, especially the newcomers, to learn and get involved with sports, through the support of their locals, those who are more involved and experienced in winter sports, especially in ice skating, cross-country skiing, and fishing. Provided with this type of peer support, people who are new in Finland intending to make Finland a permanent home can increase their social capital by getting to know more and more locals. We hope that this can be one of the many ways of facilitating a two-way integration. In Autumn 2021, more information will follow on how we will bring this project to realization.
